The School Sports Report The Millennium Re-Union Weekend : The weekend of celebrations began on the evening of Friday, 17th March with the traditional fixture between the School XV (which included the Headmaster) and the Old Cryptians, which was won by....... Old Cryptians' Club - Ladies Dinner : Whilst Old Cryptians sat down to the annual school dinner....a goodly collection of their ladies joined me (Ros Jones) for the annual ladies' dinner. Founders' Day, 2000 : An ancient ceremony with roots in the Tudor period was re-enacted when the Rector of St Mary de Crypt Church was presented with a rose at the Old Cryptians' Founders' Day dinner. London Section Annual Dinner, 2000 : The Annual Dinner of the London O.Cs was held again at the Royal Hospital Chelsea...... News of Old Crpytians : mentions of Tony Chedzey, Jason Smith, David Turner, Patrick Culley, Tim Minchin, Jonathan Harvey, Mr. Malcolm Lay, Ian Bendall, Stewart Dove, Richard Howell, Andy Henderson & Rachel Hopkins (to name only half of those included). Old Cryptians Were A Knockout : Derek Howell starts his article 'The late '60s and early '70s saw the Old Cryptians' Cricket Club at it strongest in terms of ability and success. My Life At The Crpyt : Nigel Coombes reminisces on his time at The Crypt from 1964. Anecdotes About A Blundellian Hero : by Derek Rowles (1944 - 49) The Golden Rules of Arthur Harris : without fear of contradiction, Hugh Roe (1947 - 52) starts his article by saying anyone who represented Gloucester U-15 in the late '40s/early '50s will recall Arthur Harris. Hugh concludes his article with 10 Golden Rules just as applicable to the game today. The Gospel According To Kun-Skrip-Shun : an article submitted by 23410030 Pte. Barrett dedicated to all OC's who served their country. Michael Barrett continues the theme in his own article 'The Sooner I'm In....The Sooner I'll Be Out'. The Oval's Guilded Youth : takes a look at how the Oval has fed The Crypt School with pupils and where many are now. George Cole (1943 - 50) continues the theme in his own article. The Barrett Brothers are recalled in an article by H W Allen (1947 - 55), along with a couple of old cricket photographs. The Old Cryptians' Rugby have 20 pages dedicated to the latest new from the club. |
