Founders' Day 2005
The day took its traditional form with the OC Golf Tournament played at Gloucester Golf Course in the morning. Eightenn Old Cryptians took part with Richard Butler, son of this year's President, the winner of the Beard Cup. Runner up was veteran Howard Allen.

The service at the Cathedral in the evening was an inspiring occasion with a full to flowing capacity of School and parents and Old Cryptians and their wives and friends. The preacher was the Rt. Rev. Michael Hooper, the Bishop of Ludlow who was at the School from 1952-60.

After the service, the annual traditional supper was held at the Masonic Hall when over 70 Old Cryptians, their wives and other guests sat down to a splendid meal. The occasion was presided over by Peter Butler who in the course of the evening handed over his chain of office to the incoming President, Reg Hunt. The evening ended with the singing of the School Song.
